Troll – (an Internet Troll Song)

Troll Song -720p from andrewsband on Vimeo.

Don’t be an internet trollin’, fool…!

The Internet Troll Song was inspired by you guessed it – a filthy internet troll.  The video cost about $10,000 and 2 years to make.  Just kidding, it was all shot on February 3rd 2013 with an iPhone 4S and edited by an amateur (me) in iMovie ’11.  We recorded and mixed it in three hours with Mark Coleman, his brother played guitar, Joe Maxwell played bass, and my longtime friend Chad Pippin played drums.

I fought a troll today with arrows I made out of words on a page. Under a bridge he sleeps; he sits there he eats and escapes back to his cave to munch on stones. I get along with him from time to time; every now and then he finds a way to rattle my cage and shake my bones…

I wander through the woods with my friends, the spirits are good; valiant honor among noble men fighting for freedom on the border of his den. I don no armor to cover my skin; I’ll take my chances against the mind of a kid. If you should know of a filthier soul, bring it here and we will feed it to this troll.

The battle begins; this creature is tall but I will defend these broken walls. I can see stitches tied in his skin; wounds from long ago when he had a friend. I said if you should know of a filthier soul, bring it here and we will feed it to this troll.

He’s fighting then shying away from the violence. He’s passive aggressive; I think he likes it. I see the shadows of demons around him, they’re calling his name. They’re gonna fight a troll today with words on a page. Under a bridge he sleeps; he shits where he eats and escapes back to his cave to munch on stones. I get along with him from time to time; but every now and then he finds a way to rattle my cage and shake my bones…
